Career Background

My professional career in the technology industry began in 1979 were I remained throughout my career until the latter part of 2015, at which time my wife and I retired to the wonderful city of Las Cruces.

Throughout my career in advanced sectors of the technology industry, I was very fortunate to be an active participant in the technology revolution which occurred throughout the healthcare, banking, and legal industries within roles of Executive Management and Administration for both the public and private sectors.

Upon retiring to Las Cruces, my wife and I have purchased. restored and preserved a number of historically significant homes in both the Alameda Depot and Mesquite Historic Districts.

My Community Goal

In order to better contribute to the community, I have researched and familiarized myself with the City of Las Cruces Comprehensive 2040 Plan, the Las Cruces Downtown Master Plan, the Alameda Depot Neighborhood Overlay Plan, the Mesquite Historic District Overlay Plan and participated as a committee member on the development and implementation of the City of Las Cruces’ Historic Preservation Ordinance.

My wife and I are active Members of Las Esperanza Inc. and the Alameda Depot Neighborhood Associate and contribute our historic preservation knowledge and experience to other individuals focused on the preservation of the Downtown Las Cruces Historic Districts.

In 2017, I became a Board Member of the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership where I have served as Treasurer, Vice Chair and most recently as the Board Chairman starting in 2021.

Now that I have become familiar with the goals of the downtown community and the City of Las Cruces, my intent is to continue to align my personal goals with serving the downtown communities as a proactive participant in achieving the preservation, restoration and revitalization vision of our unique Downtown Las Cruces area.
