The mission of the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership is to create a signature business destination that celebrates our region’s rich cultural heritage, local arts, and culture and contributes to a thriving, sustainable and economically vibrant downtown.

Mainstreet 4-point Approach

DLCP follows the Main Street Approach which is centered around transformation Strategies and building a thriving downtown.

1. Design and Placemaking

Improving Downtown’s environment with murals, pocket parks and facade improvements.

2. Organization

DLCP ensures that all organizational resources (partners, funding, volunteers, etc.) are mobilized to effectively implement our community’s transformative vision and all legal obligations are met.

3. Economic Vitality

DLCP harnesses local economic opportunity and creates a supportive business environment for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

4. Promotion

DLCP promotes our vibrant community through media, networking, advertisements, DLCP partnered events and the Heart of Las Cruces Mobile app.

DLCP is a coalition of downtown stakeholders that work in a collaboration with the City of Las Cruces and the State of New Mexico to create and support a climate for the emerging businesses and an environment that stimulates future business development.
