DLCP is thrilled to introduce the following individuals who will assume key leadership positions:

These elected officers bring a wealth of expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication to their respective roles and
DLCP is confident in their ability to drive the organization’s mission forward. “Las Cruces and the downtown district are thriving with new businesses, many return visitors, and many new visitors,” Muñoz said. John P. Muñoz was recently elected as the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership board chair. For many years Muñoz has seen the district level up and grow. He had the opportunity to collaborate with champions of the Rio Grande Theatre during its renovation and was a founder and school board president of the New America School and was president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. With his diverse community background Munoz offers a strong sense of community to the DLCP Board. “I am looking forward to working with the City of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, New Mexico Main Street and the wonderful residents of our beautiful city,” Muñoz added.

Under the leadership of the new officers DLCP aims to further its ongoing initiatives and continue its
commitment to downtown Las Cruces and the Arts and Cultural District. The organization will continue to
support local businesses, facilitate events, and advocate for the overall improvement and economic growth of the downtown district.

“I believe that my diverse background in entrepreneurship, advocacy, and education uniquely positions me to contribute to the growth of downtown Las Cruces,” said Stewart. Jeffery Stewart is the incoming vice-chair for DLCP and the chair of the Arts and Cultural District Coordinating Council. “My experience in successfully launching and managing independent businesses, including a retail pharmacy and a vertically integrated cannabis company, has honed my skills in strategic planning, financial management, and operational efficiency. Additionally, my expertise in advocating for the role of pharmacists in innovative healthcare practices and my commitment to community engagement will allow me to foster collaborative partnerships and drive positive change in downtown development. I am confident that with my skills and passion, I can make a meaningful impact and help downtown Las Cruces thrive,” Stewart stated.

The DLCP encourages community members, business owners and stakeholders to connect with the newly
elected officers to share their ideas, concerns, and aspirations for downtown. Together we can forge a
prosperous future for our vibrant community.

“We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation of outgoing officers Robert Cruise, Linda Lee and
Orlando Padilla for their dedicated service and significant contributions” said Jennifer Garcia Kozlowski,
Executive Director. “Their unwavering commitments has been instrumental in DLCP’s achievements and
progress thus far.”
