DLCP Business Spotlight Series Presents Wet Paint Art Studio

Las Cruces, NM – This month, we got the chance to interview Downtown business owner, Jennifer Hayden of Wet Paint Art Studio. Located on South Water Street, Wet Paint Art Studio is amid all the busyness and action of downtown.

Wet Paint offers classes to those of all ages. Recently, they just started offering a Mommy and Me class, where kids ages two to four can come with a parent or grandparent to play color theory games, sing songs, and paint. Over the summer, art camps were introduced to the studio as a fun activity to help foster kids’ creativity.

When asked about her favorite part of the job, Hayden answers decidedly that it’s the people. Wet Paint’s classes offer an opportunity for people to gather, feel creative, and clear their minds. Classes take place both in the studio and outside of the studio. Every other Thursday of the month, people can sign up for a class at Rio Grande Winery and paint something new. On Saturdays, Wet Paint holds Saturday Art at the Market, where kids from ages five all the way to seventeen can hang out and create art while their parents enjoy a date at the Farmer’s Market!

Hayden feels especially appreciative to be a part of the downtown community.

“I feel that we are supported by other small businesses. I’ve received a lot of good information and good advice from other small business owners in our downtown community.”

Next time you’re downtown, stop by Wet Paint Art Studio and see for yourself all the amazing art and people that are part of our community.
